T Tops trim

The soft rubber trim around the edges of my ttops is in good shape but comes off easily anytime I touch it, as in to take the tops out or just put my hand against it. Should it be solidly attached? Should I use a thin silicone or something to keep it securily attached to the edges?

It should be held in place by some weatherstrip adhesive,just a thin bead around the weatherstrip.

bill81, is correct, use water resistant adhesive from your local auto parts store.
