PistolDoc,
Here's a couple of suggestions to aid in diagnosing the problem:

First, have you attempted to see if your D.I.C. is showing any Trouble Codes? If it is, it could help point you in the direction of the culprit. If it is a short, or a gound problem, this might help to indicate where it's happening.

Second, check your fuses, and check to see if any lights are burnt out.

Third, how old is your battery?

C4C5Specialist may have some additional ideas.

PistolDoc,
I got your messages. Here is the translation of the codes you're getting:

40-BCM (Body Control Module)
BO432,Rear Defogger Relay Circuit
BO503,Right Hand Daytime Running Light Relay Circuit
BO508 Left Hand Daytime Running Light Relay Circuit

A0-LDCM- (Left Door Control Module)
B2282, Battery #1 Fault
B2283, Battery #2 Fault

A1-RDCM- (Righ Door Control Module)
B2283, Battery #1 Fault
B2285, Battery #2 Fault

99-HVAC- (Heater, Ventilation, Air Conditioning)
1160H, Loss of Communications with Left Door Control Module (The "H" indicates a history code)

My first thought is to ask how old is your battery? When the batteries on C5s start to go, all sorts of strange symptoms begin to manifest themselves.

Then your battery is near 5 years old. That'd be the place I'd start.

Did you take the splice packs apart and clean them,or just take the nut off the frame where they mount??
Also there are going to be 3 ground wires below the battery on the frame!!You will have to remove the Plastic battery heat shield to get the nut off of them!!
The Left Side Rear ground you can see by looking right behind the left rear wheel on the frame,Rt Side Rear is in the same location but on the inside of the frame!!:thumb:thumb:thumb

YEP GOT TO IT UNDER THE BATTERY--AND WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT ACTUALLY CUTTING THE GROUND PACKS OUT AND PUTTING IN A SOLID GROUND CABLE?
I TOOK THE PACKS APART AND CLEANED THEM TWO IN ENGINE COMPARTMENTFOUR IN THE PASS COMPARTMENT--BUT NO SIGNS OF CORROSION---COULD THEYJUST BE LOOSE INSIDE WHER THE PRONGS GO TOGETHER--ENOUGH TO CAUSE PROBLEMS?

I wouldn't,but thats me!! You can actually take the wires out of the plug and tighten the ends up if need be,But I've never had to do it to a C5!!I've usually found paint from the factory on the mounting studs and not getting a good connection!!:thumb

HEY JUNKIE----I HAVE FOUND A NEW THING---MY CAR FOR SOME REASON HAS ONLY ONE AT THE REAR ---FOUND THE STUD FOR GROUND ON THE RIGHT SIDE --BUT NO WIRE--IT APPEARS TO HAVE SMALL TUBE COVER OVER IT THAT LOOKS FACTORY--A COUPLE LIKE THEM IN THE PASS COMPARTMENT ---UNDER THE SILL AND BELT COVERS MY GUYS AT THE CHEVY HOUSE --THINK MY CAR HAS ONLY ONE FLASHER --TURN AND HAZARD COMBO ---I MA GONNA TEAR INTO THE CONSOLE AND DASH STUFF NEXT--ORDERED ONE OF THE BY-PASS PLUG INS FROM "CORVETTE ENHANCMENTS"
INSTALLED NEW BATTERY AND HAVE CHEKCED ALL GROUNDS FOUND NOTHING
THANKS FOR EVERONES TIME

As a suggestion, there are also 2 ground plugs behind each headlight. If you unplug the grounds, you may see some green corrosion on the connectors. Use a wire brush and clean off any corrosion. These two tend to wreak havoc with your BCM, causing multiple codes to be thrown. If you can, get some dielectric grease and put an application on the connectors and plug them both back in. This has become part of my normal maintenence for the grounds and battery. I believe these two grounds are G101 and G102 but not positive. Maybe someone can post the ground location key if they have it. I call them the Bill Curlee grounds for those who are farmiliar with his famous post on the corvette forum.
