Taking out scratches

How do you take out scratches on a base coat/clear coat paint job? I am looking for what people think is the best method and also looking for what people think are the best products.

hello, are they deep scratches? or swirl marks? you can sand and buff out some scratches. start with 800 grit wet sandpaper. ggently sand the area.don't go too far in or you'll get the color coat. the idea is to just smooth the surface of the clear coat.
anyway, you'll eventually sand to 2000 grit paper.then buff with two compounds to bring the shine back.
