Tall vs Short valvecovers

I need some vavlecovers that fit a C4.
I heard you can only use short vavlecovers on a c4. But will those cleare RR's?

I whant those, will the short style fit over my 1:6 RR's`?

They are talking about small block or big block engines.....your C-4 came with a small block L-98. That is if its a 85 thru 90 I believe.....Then they went to the LT-1 which is still a small block.

No they are talking about Tall or Short Covers for the SMALL BLOCK. Most Short Covers will clear the RR's. Some need to have the Drip tabs removed.

I think the ones you pictured, Devilfish, will fit.

But if you are concerned why not get a set of Tall covers.. These specific ones will fit and clear the wiper motor

Daryll, there are two different heights of valve covers for the small block Chevy. They make a tall version for exactly the reason Devilfish is inquiring about - to clear different rockers, girdles, and other things that the short covers won't clear.

The problem Jeff refers to is the fact that the tall valve covers have a problem clearing the windshield wiper motor, among other things.

Devilfish, in answer to your question, I'm not sure, but there are plenty of people here who do have that experience. You'll get an answer soon.

I have a set of tall perimeter-bolt GM Performance chrome covers for sale. Ya wanna buy a set? They're brand new. :L

Tall valve covers will not fit a corvette hits the wiper motor but if you want some, MT I have a set for sale.
I think he has an L98 4 bolt outside covers or standard chevy.
I run the short covers on mine with comp cam mag rr.

Edelbrock tall valve covers fit... for stock height applications, you can use stock Camaro valve covers (stamped steel) or Spectre Products chrome replacements and still clear 1.6 RRs (I have Spectres on mine with 1.6's).
