I have a 94' Vette and I was wondering, does anyone know how
to get the screws out of the frame (on the body) to replace them.
they stay in place after the top is removed, I would like to replace them with new screws, but I haven't quite figured out how to remove them.
thanks

there are plastic inserts holding them into the frame....you should be able to, under normal conditions continue to unscrew the bolts to remove them. Otherwise you may have to dig them out. Mine the bolts just continue to un screw until they fall out. Try putting pressure on the backside of the screw while unscrewing it.

Course you could always use a blow torch to get the screws hot enough to melt the inserts... ;LOL ;LOL ;LOL ;LOL

I like the blowtorch idea.............:_rock

Thanks for the help!

It was so nice out today I took the top off, I found that if you back the screws out enough to remove the roof you can then push the bolts back into the frame to dislodge the plastic insert out the other side...

And I was kidding about the blow torch.....

I kinda figured you were joking............I'll give that a try.
thanks for the help
