I was experiencing trouble getting into first gear and reverse was much harder to get into. I recently had installed a new master and slave cylinder (bleed the system with the Phoenix tool so I know all the air was out)

Everything I researched made it sound like a possible costly problem to fix and a drop of the ZF

I noticed my clutch pedal was about 1 1/2 inches or so below my brake pedal so I removed the lower left side (drivers) hush panel to take a look at the clutch pedal and it's mechanism. I noticed the cruise control switch had worked it's way all the way down in the fitting it sits in which kept the clutch pedal from reaching the proper height. I "screwed" the switch back into proper position and fastened it so it could not slide back down. This in turn allowed the clutch pedal to raise back up.

Viola!!! No more shifting problems. The ZF now slides into all 6 forward speed and reverse like a hot knife thru butter.

Unless I missed it, nothing in my GM Service or Haynes Manuels mentions anything about this problem as a fix. Hope this can help someone else
