After reading your tech data email, I was fortunate enough to make a new acquantence this week. He is a local mechanic at a major dealership and like you, specializes in Corvettes.
I ran my problem with the headlights actuator motor past him and to paraphrase he said "don't sweat it". He said that he can fix, or adjust the motor. If that doesn't work, he said he can build one or replace with a new one. When I prompted him the cost of new, he seemed dispassionate and said, "nah..we can do it for less than that".
This is good news, and he will have time to work on it in less than 10 days. Because the car is not my daily driver, I will wait patiently. Something I wish I'd done last Sunday, when I "swirled" the clear coat due to a dirty applicator.
I am really looking forward to my Zainos order to arrive and although I don't want to become their spokesperson, I do hope it will work like magic.
Thanks again for your time and advice.
