Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

Thanks AGAIN to VNV

The tall-block 572 with a GM tri-power setup (and Moroso tall-deck intake manifold spacers) and stock air cleaner fits under the stock BB hood, but the Stainless Works polished headers are kinda spendy :) .

...now THIS is the problem with this forum.....you guys are ganging up on me and slowly but surely forcing me to spend my money....here are the facts:

Mark gets the ball rolling by suggesting a 572 for my roadster....

John just HAPPENS to post a picture of a midyear with a 572

67HEAVEN posts a 572 price in CANADIAN DOLLARS, making it appear that my American Dollar price is a bargain

THEN, since John remembers that I was fretting about hood clearance with a tall block, he just HAPPENS to mention, in passing, that a GM tripower manifold, with the Moroso spacers, will allow the top end to clear the hood...HIS car HAPPENS to be a '67 and i have made no secret of the fact that my '65 is trimmed out with '67 bb hood...............hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

...at the SAME time, Mark HAPPENS to be trying to convince me to add my factory low-rise tripower manifold to my existing zz440....

NOW I UNDERSTAND

OK, it's now clear that GMPP is giving you guys rebates and you have targetted me as your customer base

....in the long run, it would be cheaper for me to just send you checks every month to STOP POSTING THIS STUFF :W

...oh, the humanity:grouphug:

Here's the '67 with the GM 572/620hp crate motor in it that Jerry Clark's building as our magazine project car for Carlisle this year - just fired it for the first time about ten days ago - VERY nasty! :D

Has a big Tremec behind it, all stainless headers and sidepipes, coil-overs all the way around, tubular front control arms, offset trailing arms, Goodyear Eagle F1 meats, carbon fiber driveshaft and half-shafts, etc.

Wait a minute! Do I detect a can of Pla-Doh on the work stand on the left? Some new gasket sealing technique that we should know about? And does it come in Chevy orange? :D
Cheers!

Yup - essential tool for verifying air cleaner-to-hood clearance. :)
