IH2LOSE, you were right.

The problem with the leak in my carb wasn't the gasket. I removed the carb and had it rebuilt. I just got it back this afternoon and put it back on. What a difference.
My mechanic said the needles were messed up and the carb was just dirty.
I don't know if it's my imagination, but the car seems to pull better now.

MidShark, you were right too. The car runs just fine even with the shorter "stem" from the radiator. I was afraid I was going to have to spring for a new radiator.

'Preciate the info.

This is a great place.

Have a cold one on me.. :beer

De nada (if its spelled correctley) And I think the meaning is
"think nothing of it ,its actually my pleasure"
Any ways I recomend anyone with an older car to get there carb out to a QUAILIFIED rebuilder.A proper tuned car runs 100 times better.

Also When ever I deal with removing a rubber hose off of what may be a fragile fitting,(heater core, radiator, ect.ect) I alway slit the hose up the fitting.(not cut it off but slice it so I can peel it back off) then I cut the hose shorter to re install it.Its always easer to replace a hove then the fragile fitting

Your Spanish is good. De nada is correct.

I learned that lesson the hard way. I will "slice" from now on.

Pedro
