Corvette configurator - epic failure
Corvette announces that their target is Porsche, and they want to be considered by younger buyers. Last time I checked, younger buyers are fairly internet savvy. That being so, why does GM offer a configurator that is NON-COMPETITIVE with those of significantly lower priced products? For example:
* When I select a color for a Ford Festiva, the vehicle on the website changes color to the color I selected.
* Similarly, when I chose an interior color and fabric on a Honda Fit, the vehicle on the website matches that color.
* And, when I am offered an option or package of options on either car, there is an "info" click to get further information.
Apparently, GM doesn't think visuals are important, nor do they care about EXPLAINING the content of vehicle packages and options.
Yet, they'll act surprised if import sports car buyers are turned off when the website doesn't live up to those of many ENTRY LEVEL vehicles.
Very sad, indeed.
