The C6 must be getting closer to a release because now we have a very special seperate section to discuss the C6 on this site. ;)

Very cool!

When do U think you'll be buying...

First year..
Second
or third..????????????????

Will the C5 drop hard in value or will because the C6 is evolutionary cause little excess devalution of the car?

JB,

I decided to evaluate the forums we have here and do some additions and reorganization today. Since the C6 is technically not a C5, this forum really didn't belong in the category that it was in. Since the C6 will be coming out sometime in 2004 as a 2005 model....it should start to become a hotter topic as time goes on.

I decided to plan ahead for the future and put this forum in it's own category. Before you know it, we'll have a C6 Mods forum too! :D

THANK YOU!

This is a great site which many of us enjoy ...

Happy holidays

JB

Thanks JB. Happy Holidays to you and your family. :SANTA

so its due out in late 2004? as a 2005?

iam gonna be looking to purchase a newer c5 when the c6 comes out....so iam curious as to when it might be...kinda anticipating a drop in price of the c5 which would be really good for me...lol

The C6 will or is supposed to make its show debut in January 2004 (Detroit show)

Then in June of 2004 there should be a Bowling Green celebration and a public launch of the C6...at the factory..

I would imagine the cars will hit the streets July/August..of 2004 as 2005 models..

If you get a chance..try driving a Zo6..it might sway you to that model when your in the market ..

Right now I've seen 2001 Z06's with Chrome OEM rims and 10,000 miles sell by private owner at 34 thousand dollars..

Another good way to plan costs for purchase of a 3 year old corvette is look at the expected residual values on the 2002's with a 36 month lease..I believe it to be a decent indicator.

Of course any year or any model corvette C5 is a blast so choose with what your priorities are..

BTW..sweet C4!

Good luck.

JB

The 2001 ZO6s are going for less because they arent the car that the 2002/2003 ZO6s are. I think it would be cool if they didnt have a 2004 Vette production like they did with the C4. For my money I'll keep my 2003 ZO6 until the C6 is in it's last couple of years. It has been our experience that Chevy throws everything they have in the way of performance in the last couple production years of Vettes.
