Hi

I am shopping for a set of headers to fit a 1968 vette with a small block (350).

I now from previous experience with headers that the header might needed to but hit with a hammer in a few areas to make everything fit right such as near the starter.

My main question is how low the headers will be when installed I am concerned about ground clearance. Does anyone have a set of hooker supercomps installed and if so can they take a picture of what the clearance is between the header collector and the ground.

My car has a stock ride height and it is mostly for cruising and a little road racing at the local track.

Thanks

I have Hooker Super Comp ...ceramics.....installed with NO dings or dents......they are nice........I have a 73 coupe 350...4 speed with p/s and no a/c........

I can email you pics of mine.......send me your email

i've got dynomax cermic. if i were to do it again, i'd save the money and put on the standard issue painted header, as the finish is coming off.

on a side note, i changed plugs today and its much eaiser with headers then it was with manifolds.

on a final note, i love having headers and wouldn't go back. just make sure you get some high quality gasket and bolts

Has anyone heared of Doug's Headers or Thorley headers?

How about hedmen elite headers compared to hooker super comps?
