Yes it is.

Man, you guys don't miss a thing. I'll have to make sure not to leave any dirty underwear hanging in the garage. ;LOL

I got that mirror as part of the whole experience of attending the Indy 500 in 1978. Why did I attend? P-P-P-P-P-P-Pace car! Yeah. :D

Welcome to :CAC

Pace car mirror? Please educate the slow and non-informed :D

That must of been a great experience, wish I could of been there. What kind of power you throwin in the 67??

I thought I would be somewhat blasé about the whole experience, but first hearing them come around the final turn and then seeing the field approach the Start Line behind that beautiful '78 Pace Car brought me and 400,000 others roaring to our feet.

Bam! -- the race launched in front of us and we stood in awe for a very long time.

The moment was unforgettable.

I managed to obtain a real nice picture of Jim Rathmann driving the pace car. One of these years, I would love to go out there and just take in the whole experience. How did you contain yourself when you cracked open the wood box of the engine??? :BOW

your progress is looking GREAT!!
Everytime I see pics of your car I love the color too.

can't wait for your post that you finally get to crank that engine up for the first time. Oh wait, I won't need to wait for your post, I'm sure i'll HEAR it with my own ears even down here in Delaware. LOL

Getting closer all the time. Love it! Love it!

One question. Were the '67s blacked out behind the grille? It's been too long since I had one and don't remember.

Looking good :D Since the hood is on does that mean the motor is in? I though Starbucks was a bad word in Canada?

Keep the updates comming.

Actually, Tom, the hood is just sitting on there for the photo. :D I'm waiting for the flywheel -- still about a week away.

Starbucks a bad word? I haven't heard that. :confused

The bumpers are just on for a test fit with the new wider fenders. Surprisingly, there is only one minor fit problem left to solve on the passenger-side outer bumper bracket (in the front of the wheelwell).

The bumpers are cleaning up nicely, but I may still have them re-chromed.

As does everyone with the Performance Plus Suspension Kit, we had to modify the center-lower bumper brackets where they attach under the front crossmember. That's one of the minor problems with using the transverse fiberglass spring on the front in place of the coil springs. You can see the spring here.

Sorry about the lighting but the sunlight through the trees was messing with the camera's mind. :D

Next, we'll test fit the rear bumpers. Here I have more apprehension due to the massive body-width change in the rear. We did a test fit during the mid-job body drop at the paint shop when the fenders were finished and the car was still in primer. Then the body was put back on the dolly for painting. The bumper-fit should be close, but we'll see.

In case we have to add a few inches into the width of the rear bumpers, re-chroming will have to wait for the test-fit. Hopefully, I'll know by Monday or Tuesday evening.
