The only other car I would consider

I was thinking last night, of all the Vettes out there, what other vette would I want to have other than my crazy 69. I decided that a LT1 (92-up) tripple black Callaway would be the trick.

To me, it is the ultimate car. It has all the handling and aerodynamics of a C4, yet the power of a big block and fuel economy of a LS1. Not to mention, limited production.

I also assume that tweaking, tuning, and playing with the turbos has the potential of yielding extreme amounts of power.

Well, not that I am trading, but if anybody wants to consider such a trade (69 for a 92-up Callaway), I might entertain such thoughts.

Then again, I don't have any idea what a Callaway is really worth anyway or my 69 for that matter.

I hope to see some of you guys in Kissimmee this October 12. Maybe I can talk you into giving me a ride in one of these monster turbo beasts.

Sounds like a great strategy except for one glitch. The Callaway Twin Turbo is based on the '87-'91 L98 engined C4. All Callaway engines base on the LT1 starting in '92 are normally aspirated and known as the SuperNatural engine program. They started back in '92 with about 400hp and have since been upgraded to 450hp. So, if you want a '92 or later LT1 you're going Supernatural. If you can live with a '91 you can go Twin Turbo. I think there were very few changes between those two years besides the engine. Of course there were only 59 '91 TTs so you'll have to really hunt for one.

See, I learn something more everyday.

I knew of the "supernatural", but did not realize it was not a turbo car. :SLAP

Then, it would have to be a 90-91 as I prefer the dash. I am very happy with the overall layout and feel of my 90 six speed. It just does not and never will have that sweet kick of a pair of turbos working in harmony under the hood.

I agree. I like the newer dash layout as well. I wasn't sure if you wanted the updated body of the '91 as well. That increases your possible pool of cars to 117! (58 in '90 and 59 in '91) If it's an Aerobody the comment about body style doesn't apply of course!
