Only problem is......none of the lightweight Braille Batteries will bolt into a Corvette's battery mount. Oh sure, you could build a battery mounting--provided the battery will physically fit, of course--but the Odysseys are made in all the specific sizes which bolt into the stock battery mounts on any Corvette.

The only Braille products marketed in conventional battery Group sizes are in the company's "Endurance" line and the weights of all three 12v units are similar to Odyssey and other brands. Only one of those, the "B6034 Group 34", fits a Corvette but only the 55-68 models. It weighs 41 pounds. The same-sized Odyssey, the 34 PC1500, weighs 49-lbs. The Bralle's CCA rating is only 850 whereas the same-sized Odyssey is 880. The Braille's cranking amps rating is 1146 whereas the Odyssey's CA rating is 1250.

So yes, the only comparable Braille Battery weighs 8 pounds less that the Odyssey 34 PC1500, but it also has lower CCA and CA ratings and does not perform as well.

Odyssey in 2008 C6

I installed an Odyssey 34R-PC1500 battery in my 2008 C6 coupe. It's a great battery and bolted right in.

One thing to keep in mind is that the Odyssey's Reserve Capacity is much greater. It can sit much longer with a drain on it and still start your car while smaller, lighter batteries will not.
