Hi everybody!

First, let me tell you that for the last 2 weeks or so I have (with great difficulty) refrained from posting this. I wanted to make sure that what I'm about to tell you is 100% accurate. In a moment, you will understand and appreciate my hesitance to post this information. Hopefully, many of you have read my posts & know that I am credible.

For many years we have been taunted with rumors concerning the possibility that original Corvette documentation might exist in some undisclosed and long forgotten warehouse. We have even heard rumors that PHS might have access to these records. Until this very day at exactly 3:28pm the acquisition of any orginal document for our St. Louis Corvette seemed so remote, I dared not hope I'd ever see anything in my lifetime.

I am very pleased to tell you that I can now say with 100% certainty that the original dealer invoice for your Corvette is available! In fact, the mailman delivered mine a few minutes ago and I am looking at it right now. Also, I would be remiss if I failed to give a huge thanks to a very knowledgable Corvette expert, rare parts source and one of the nicest people you could ever meet for turning me on to this informaton. Thank you LT1GEORGE!!!

I do want to ask one thing of you before I give you the information. Please, Please, Please promise me you will fill out the customer service form that comes with your dealer invoice and return it promptly. There is plenty of room to write some additional information on the front and back of the form as well. It is extremely important that we let GM know how much we value this service and would like to see it continue and be built upon (this is a $ looser for them). Also, please say some kind words about Peggy Vezina. She is the person who will be doing this research for you. It's a one woman operation and she is working very hard on our behalf.

Now for what you have been waiting for....................................

For an original copy of your Corvette dealer invoice or ANY other GM car or truck 1977 to present, send an email to one of the following email addresses. I sent mine directly to Peggy. You MUST have the correct VIN (please triple check it before requesting the information) and provide the year, make and model of your vehicle. Oh, one last thing.......it's free!

GMMA.research@gm.com OR peggy.vezina@gm.com

For those who have a Corvette older than 1977 you may want to call GM to see if your dealer invoice is available. Here's the # 1-800-851-8984.

Me too. I figure she got flooded with emails.
I heard about 6 weeks for her to get back with your stuff.

Peggy just sent me an email. Like ArkShark said, she has been flooded with requests. She said 6-8 weeks and info will be on the way!!

This is good news. This should make a lot of St. Louis car owners happy. Now if they could only find the C1/C2 records.

Thank you very much. I just sent Peggy an E-mail.

Still waiting on mine..sent email in december..sighs!:cry

Got Mine

I read this terrifc posting back in December and sent my email off to Peggy. I almost forgot about it, until I opened today's mail...and there it was. Awesome. Love it. Thanks!

Sean

I got mine yesterday! Thanks a lot Peggy! I didn't get the questionair though. I would have filled it out. I really appreciate all the work you did.

Peggy told me as of march1,05 the cost is now 50 greenbacks to get a invoice copy. I guess that is how the free market works supply and demand determines cost

Ya, Same thing happened to me now its $50 to get it, oh well

It's better late than never but I got my copy of the dealer invoice on Saturday. It cost $50.00 bucks to get it but worth it. I reviewed this post back in December and filled out the online request and sent it in but after four months I thought it must be lost. So, I sent in another request in April only to get a response from Peggy that the cost to get it is now $50.00. Where's the justice in this......just kidding, anyway I filled out the form Peggy sent and emailed it and had the copy of my invoice in 7 days. Now I know what was on the car, where it sold and for how much. My goal was to track down the history of the car but once again, dead end. The dealer "Don Dale Chevrolet" in Hagerstown, In. is no longer in business. If any of you can give me an idea on where to search next for the history of the car such as owners that would be great. I have the Carfax history and everthing comes back green.

Thanks Everyone
