Thermal switch

I have an 86 with the standard cooling. Bought the low temp. thermal switch and installed it this morning. I spliced into the green/white tracer like they say but my fan still does not turn on till 224 and off at 207 ,not 200 and 185 ,Where did I go wrong?

Update,
When installing the switch in the drivers side cylinder head do NOT put any thread sealant or teflon tape on the threads. The switch is self grounding. It works fine now.

Could it be that they sent you the wrong switch ? The fact that the fans do come on says you wired it right or maybe it's just a faulty switch. Sh*t does happen all the time.
