I am going to replace the thermostat, maybe use a 160 on my 69 with an L36 engine (the 427 390hp) but rebuilt to about 425
I would like to hear some opinions

thanks

Use a Robert Shaw hi-flo thermostat--they're a big improvement. Also, I doubt it matters much if you put in a 160F or a 180F thermostat--that big block of yours will, without doubt, always run above 180F unless you're into Antarctic road trips!

thanks
I read that but seemed like most ppl a discussing the new vettes just checking to see if anyone has had any particular luck with in a set up like mine
I haven't had much luck with any of the vettes I have driven, seems like they all get hot especially if I slow Down

when I bought my 74 I was Doing routine maintanence it didn't even have a thermostat in it
