Buying a vette is a tough act because we all have our own values as far as mileage, condition, color and year.
The only reason l got a fair deal is that l waited and knew what l wanted and had the cash available.
l tried to go wholesale, but the only vettes available were the C5's and they went for 22-24 thou (98's)
lf the economy was better, l would have went for a C5, because they are light years ahead of the C4's.
Maybe next year when the C6's come out and the economy changes.
The diff in price between a C4 with 25k and 55k is maybe $500, and then over 65k the price drops down to 13thou and so on.
But on the other hand a cherry early C4 (85 and later) with low mileage is a sweet car.
The older C3's and C2's are fabulous for local driving or sunny day driving only.
