Third Brake Light

Have a 1992 LT1. Is the third (middle rectangle) brake light wired to somewhere different than the main brake lights. Mine is coming and going off at different times than the other four main lights???? If I ease off brake pedal at stop light, people tell me that the four main lights go out, but the center one stays on until I take my foot off brake. Shouldn't these all be tied together??
Do I have a pressure switch going? Are there two switches?? Thanks.

The Brake Light Switch has a separate set of contacts just for the third brake light. It's the set of Contacts at the very top of the Brake Light Switch. :dance

Just replace the Brake Light Switch (About $20) and that should take care of the problem. :bang

When mine failed it was intermittent, sometimes the third brake light would work and at other times it wouldn't. However, the 4 main brake lights worked just fine.
