Started my car this afternoon after it hadn't been started for a few hours. The check engine soon light comes on almost immediately. I stepped on the gas cause she was idling rough and the rpm's actually dropped the more gas i gave till she stalled. I waitedd a few secs, restarted her and she was fine. This morning the check engine light also came on after sitting all night and gave me a code 32 (EGR system). Entire EGR sys just changed about 2 weeks ago (bloody knuckles and all) and then I restarted and the check engine light went away.

Do I have a blown or going computer? Car runs absolutely great when there's no check engine light (just replaced almost every sensor unnder the hood last month).

Anyone have any thoughts or have run into this problem? :confused

Egr

Check the vac hoses and any electrical leads supplying the EGR or EGR solenoid. Sounds like one of them may have come loose or got on something hot and cooked. Look to the computer last.

One of the EGR vaccume hoses (top plastic hose with two large bends in it leading to the top of the diaphragm) did crack. I repaired the crack w/some crazy glue and it seemed to have been holding fine (this is cause u can't get that plastic hose anymore). I will check all electrical connections to the solenoid and the temp switch.

Thanx for steering me in a direction.

Rough idle

The rough idle is likely an EGR valve that's open when it's not supposed to be open (at idle should close) so check the valve itself too.
Hope this helps
