I know that you can use a newer C4 roof on an older C4 by using a retro fit kit....but can you use an older C4 roof on a newer C4? :confused

Any C4 roof can be used on any C4, you just have to change the hardware on the car to match the top. You can get the hardware at Contemporary Corvette and it takes about an hour to change. Good luck, Guy

Im gonna ask why? Are you mounting a early C4 roof on a late? the hardware of the late models is FAR better for shifting and noise. (Trust me I own the early one and HATE it) Im going to change to a glass top with the late model hardware.

I'm mounting an early roof on a late C4 because I was too dumb to email the seller first and ask him if it was early or late roof. I just assumed that it was for a late year vette. I've got to order new hardware for the early C4 roof so it fits my 94. I think I will only need the front screws and plates. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Pretty sure its just the fronts that are different. Corvette America has the parts and Ecklers may.

I admire your honesty! You will need top plates and covers. Also the plastic trim at top of windshield because holes are in different place. Try www.contemporarycorvette.com they will know what you need. About $100. Good luck, Guy

you may just want to sell the top you bought, and buy a new one... not only are the newer tops better, but it will cost you more anyway since you will need the retro kit.
