Has anyone who has autocrossed ever experience the throtlle stinking during competition. This weekend in the rain during an event I had it happen 3 times. I was going full throttle. When coming up on a pin spiked the brakes, I shift back first, let the clutch out for braking. The engine continued to run at full throttle for about 2 seconds.

Most annoying, screwed up my time.

Can you tell us a little more about the car and the powertrain combination?

I've had some trouble with my throttle sticking, But I have never had it stink. :boogie Sorry, I couldn't pass that one up. Hope you get the problem resolved.

It's usually caused by carbon buildup around the butterfly in the throttle body. Causes the butterfly flap to stick.
