Hi there you guys,
Got a week off next week and gona dedicate most of it to my car.
Want to get it through the MOT as the summer days are coming!!!!!!!
few things i want advice on.
1. dash board, has been a bit wet over the last few months here in good old blighty (england) so the dash didnt work, put a heater in the car and it worked again, one of you guys said that the dust over the years may have got damp and that it was shorting it out and that when dry it worked, this makes sense, what i want to know is when i get up on monday morning next week what is the step by step guide to removing the dash for cleaning as i have a short fuse and not knowing will cause more damage than good.
2. The handbrake is weak, you guys have recently told me that the adjuster is between the two rear wheels and that if i pull the break on 2/3 and adjust this should sort it????????????? anything else i should know, once again i have a short fuse and with the kicking and screaming i may move the jack and the car may kill me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. The reverse lights are intermintant, what part of the car do i have to pull apart to find the gismo that activates the reverse lights, a step by step if you can please. the fact that they sometimes work suggests that they aint totaly broke.
4. finaly , the fan that heats the car, not working , it was intermitant, now dead, i have checked fuses , anyone experienced a dead fan????? how do i fix this. When i move the switch on the dash the vents seem to move but no noise.
Can i stress that over the years i have become quite good at the whole fixing thing but have realized that you guys know far more than me and your help on the above would be greatly appreciated.
Next monday morning i will be under , on top of and probably running away from my vette screaming!!!! so any help would be great, pictures would be a bonus.
