Timing chain question

On the LT1 engine, the timing chain is different from the standard small block chain in that there is an extra set of gear teeth around the inside to turn the water pump gear. I want to replace my chain with a double roller, however, the only chain available is the $440 heavy duty LT4 chain. I was wondering, if the water pump gear is not needed (because of an electric pump) and is removed, would a standard $90 roller chain set fit?

Cloyes has two timing chains which will fit. Part number 9-1145 and 9-3145. I just put one on and it fits great. Hope this helps!
