Now that I have solved my fuel problem (new fuel pump, strainer, filter). Thanks everyone how assisted me. My 84 runs a lot better. However, now, sometimes if I hit the gas to fast I get small backfire out of crossfire, and half the time the car wil die. The idle seems a bit low to me, it's about 600. Some times 700 depending on temp out side. Could this be the timing? If so, yep you guessed it. I'm gonna need help with that too.

Sorry to be a pest....

Thanks, BigStubby

Try cleaning the IAC, did the engine backfire before you installed the fuel pump?
Any vaccume lines off or leaking? Timing chain ok or is your timing jumping around at the mark?;shrug
