I put the timing light to my L98 this morning and can't seem to find the timing mark on the balancer. I've disconnected the tach wire from the distributor, hooked up the light to the #1 plug wire cranked it over and...no mark. Is there a simple method of rolling the engine over to find the mark and then putting some chalk on it?

You can put a 1/2 inch drive 5/8"socket on the harmonic balancer bolt...use a breaker bar or ratchet.

You could just bump the ignition, until it comes around. Usually you only have to do it two or three times. I acutally put white out on my timing mark.
