Timing

Okay, this is my first time so go easy on me (and yes I need to purchase a shop manual and have not). I am about to check my timing and do not know what the scale on the balance means precisely. Here is what I am postulating. Above the TDC is "Advanced" degrees per gradicule and Below the TDC is retard? Also, my sticker says 6 degs and I assume that is advance. Are these trueisms? Also, rotating the distributor CW is retard and CCW is advance? Nespa?

Never mind. I just read a great post in another area about timing and it answered all my questions....guess I need to read a little!

yes thats right. when your doing it you will tell which way to turn the dist. CCW car will almost die, CW she run faster. remeber to unplug the brown wire connection.
