Hi,
Thanks for your replies, i am lookiing forward to walk around in sunny californina shopping for parts.
I need new shocks front and rear, brakepads and some other stuff like windowseals and keys.
My problem is that i would like to have them mail them to me since i am not alowed to bring the shocks on the plane home. And since the mail order companies offer free delivery when ordering over 500$...
But i like to make the purchase in person and check the products.
I have read about brakepads and shocks on this forum. I am interested in Bilstein Shocks and the Hawk brakepads. But it is hard to "value" other peoples opinions, many people find the Bilsteins to stiff for road use. I never do any autocrossing and we problably have worse roads in Sweden than you guys in US. I dont like to loss my grip in a curve with bumps because of to stiff suspension but i dont want the body to move to much either, in curves or bumps. So i am now wondering if KYB or Edelbrock would be a better choise for me. but i dont want the car to be "to comfortable" either, it a sportscar.
I find my brakes OK in normal day driving but the car feels to "heavy" when i brake hard, it just doesnt stop fast enough. I can not afford upgrading to 13" brakes so i was hoping the Hawk could help at least a little bit. And i could live with less brake dust on those 17" weels of mine... I was little afraid that the Hawks was like racingpads, that needs to be warm to work but that is not the case as i understand from reading posts here.
Anyway, i would appreciate help to find some shops in Anaheim or LA. I arrive April 26 and leave May 4. I have a car during my visit so i can move around a bit. Links to shops with webpages is great, otherwise road directions. I am going to stay in the Anaheim convention area.
Thanks for helping out.
