Hi,

I am considering going to non-run flat tires and not reinstalling the tire pressure sensors. Will I get a constant message on the control monitor regarding the tires? If so, can I program it out?

Thanks,

Jim

Yes it will tell you to service the LTPWS. This system can be "turned off" Ill have to look up procedude as dont want to give bad info. Let me know if you want dispose of the sensors. I could use them.

Thanks for the info.

I'll be keeping the sensors on the stock wheels and tires.

Would greatly appreciate the procedure for turning off the tire monitoring system.

Thanks............

Woudn't pulling the bulb (s) be the easiest way to go?

Just pull the LTPWS system fault bulb

Worked for me! and if you want it to work again, no programming pain. Pulling the bulb is rather a pain, though. However, its a good opportunity to clean the console cover, really clean the leather shifter boot, clean the trans tunnel, and lube the shifter. Hey! Its spring, time for that spring cleaning to keep that beauty in tip top shape.

P.S. anyone want to sell an right rear LTPWS sensor (cream plastic/orange label)?

I just pulled the bulb on my 95, not too hard to do.
