Tire Pressure Monitor- Valve stem Caps

I have a 2003 on order. I see that last year they went to metal valve stem caps. I wanted to replace the stock caps with metal ones from Mid-America that have the C5 flags. Will this cause any problem with the tire pressure monitoring system? Thanks.

Nope. Just keep in mind that the GM metal caps have a sealing ring, which could help prevent air loss IF a valve got a little leaky. I can't vouch for the aftermarket caps in that regard, they may have 'em too, may not. But either way, there should be absolutely no effect on the TP sensors inside the rim.

i got tire valve caps from mid america, no problems and they look great. stw.

I've got the logo after market caps on my car and they do have the "o" ring seals in them.
