anybody know the recommended tire pressure for 1988 coupe?
my car came with everything but a manual

I have always ran 35 in my vette. I'm sure someone will chim in with what is recomended

I also have run 35 on all four corners with great success.

Good luck,

The press. should be printed on your tire...but i agree i like 35 also

The pressure printed on the side of the tire is generally the maximum pressure. The recommended pressure would depend on some other factors such as the weight of the vehicle, the purpose of the vehicle, etc. The car manufacturer could offer a recommended tire pressure, but the tire maker only offers a maximum.

Tire pressure

30psi driving around
35psi tight turns, etc.
24psi rear drags

I personally go with 32 psi.

Tire Pressure

Tire Pressure should be set at 35psi at all 4 corners. It is critical to maintain consistent - even pressure. Alignment is affected by any variations.

I think the GM recommended pressure is 30psi.

There's a split between 30psi and 35psi among corvette folks. In fact, somewhere there was a poll.. and 30psi and 35psi were definately the most popular.

I've been running my tires at 30psi for street driving. And the middles of my rear tires wear more than the outsides... so I can guess how much worse 35psi would be.

I run higher pressures in front when I autocross. (You race with the tires cold in autocross, so you need to raise the pressures to get the same effective pressures as you would have gotten with heat)
