I need to replace my rear tires (Michelins) in the near future, and I have a couple of questions regarding size and tire brands. I have the stock wheels on a 2000 Vert and presently have the stock tire size, but would like to move up to a little wider footprint, if possible. What size/s from the stock configuration can I go with to get the wider tread without replacing rims, etc.? Also, has anyone had any experience with either Toyo or Yokohama (sp.) tires. I think my wife is getting into accelerating contests at the turnpike toll booth, and I may need to cut out her beer money to contribute to the rear tire fund. That said, I like the Michelins;however, the runflats are fairly expensive when they only last about 15 to 20 thousand miles. I think I will go with a non-runflat on the rear since the front tires are barely half worn. Any advice and comments are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
