About to get new tires and was thinking of going with 275/35/18's (rather than 275/40/18) in the rear........would this cause any problems with them speedometer being off?

I wouldnt think that small of a change would matter. Won't affect an M6 at all, as it measures the speed differently from the A4. I have heard that if the speed difference is too great between the front & rear tires , it will affect the traction control. I would drop the profile in the front, too. Before I put my Z06 wheels on, I bought new tires to fit the rims. I used the 295/35/18 rears & 275/40/17 fronts. I put them on the stock rims until i bought the Z06 rims. I thought they looked a lot better. Plus gave the care a wider, meaner stance. Just a thought. I used Michelin Pilot Sports. Let me know what you decide- SCOTT
