Looking for input.
Been using BF Goodrich T/A 255-60R15 for the longest time.
Thinking about (same size)
*Firestone FireHawk Indy 500 (that has very good reviews).
OR
*Dunlop GT Qualifier
OR
* just stay with the Goodrich T/A's
Thanks for your input.
PS. Pretty good prices from> tire rack.com

I run 275 60 15s on my '81 and use the H-rated Dunlop Sport Rover GTX tires. They are terrific, but I don't think they are available any longer. As to 255 60 15s, look on TireRack, but I would go with the Firehawks out of the group you mention. While the Radial T/A looks great and comes in many sizes, it is a DATED tire----I think it's made mostly for the trailer queen crowd. There is a real market for a manufacturer to make tires that fit our type of muscle cars and are modern in design for people who drive hard, in rain etc etc. I plan to replace my 275 60s with the Kumho Exsta H-rated.--Chris Kennedy

We put GoodYear Eagle STs on ours but it has been several years. No complaints at all with them. I don't know what I would pick today. I'd be in the same boat as you.

Thanks for the feedback...looks like I'll be going with the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's.

I just hope their still around several years down the road if I need one:eyerole

I put the Firehawk's on mine last year. They are awesome, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the feedback...I also have a white w/red 81.
Soooo how's the look/profile of the Firehawk...as I've been looking at my Goodrich T/A's forever and kinda like them.

I have the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's on my 81' and took it out on some mountain roads in the rain at the Black Hills Corvette Classic a couple weeks ago and the tires performed perfectly. I think you'll like them.

i have Kelly Chargers. Look ok, but they aren't very stickey. My next set will probally be the indy's

Wow !!!

Put the new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's on the Vette today...very nice.
Much better ride, more quiet ride...and I like how they look.
The sidewall states 44 psi. I tryed it but didn't care for the harsh ride much better at 35 psi.
All in all I'm very happy with my choice.
The old BF goodrich's are for sale, only about 10-15 thousand miles on them.

Another vote for the Indy 500's !! 35psi
