Tire/Wheel fit question

Most c6 wheels will fit well, some will stick out a bit and rub at full steering lock, and a couple sets (z06/zr1) won't work without spacers because of width.

Grand Sport and Z06 use the same wheel spec. They will stick out, but I'm not sure about the offset vs the stock offset. I, personally don't like protruding rear wheels. You can get virtually any OEM style wheel in stock base sizes on the aftermarket.

It is the width in the rear that I am after hoping to gain a little more traction.
These are what I am looking at.

Sorry the other post closed just after I started this post.
I too really do not care for tires sticking out past the wheel openings.
Am I to guess that the spacers are for the rears to keep them for rubbing on the inside?

Any stock C6 tire on a C5 will require spacers in the rear. this along with the increased width of the wheel/tire will mean they will stick out. In the case of a GS wheel tire, they will stick waaay out. That's why the Z06, GS, ZR1s are wide bodied.

Thanks for the input, I have the winter to find something that will fit the bill.
Maybe the company that made the Z06 Reps I have now will have something?
