Hi all Z-06 Fans

Looking for advise regarding aftermarker shifter. I am not thoroughly pleased with the stock unit. I am considering aftermarket type shifter
So many types out there, is the Hurst the best one or are there others worthy of extra expense. Definetly looking for a more tighter shift, but also shorter throw.
2003 Z-06 has 8,000 miles, I enjoy driving the car but not thrilled with the exisitng unit.

Please advise for a winter project.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

I put on a Delrin Race Shift Knob. It is the same style used in the C5R raceing Corvette. What a difference. It makes the shifting so much faster and accurate, it was nothing short of amazing. I was going to put a shorter shifter in but don't need to now. You can use it like a pistol grip or a regular knob.

I got mine from Xtreme Motorsports. I have seen these going for $50 but xtreme's price was only $20

The only problem I've had with the Hurst is the added noise when I'm mashing the go fast peddle through the floor. They tend to rattle quite noticeably. Other than that that they are shorter and do feel more positive.

I put a Hurst in mine and am quite pleased. I also added a knob from Mid America - chrome pistol grip - I like the feel but the plating wore quickly.
