I'll prolly hate the answers but I have to know!
Christmas was going really great until I noticed my 2 granddaughters, ages 4 & 5 in the garage. They had decided that PawPaw's little black car was dusty and being the fine kids they are, thought that they would help me out by cleaning it, as only 4 & 5 year olds can. They began by sweeping it with two brooms, but since they're not very tall they ended up pushing them across the hood like dust mops. *Sob* I now have scratches in the clear coat that I can not only see, but feel as well. Is there any hope, or am I looking at a re-paint? :cry

(Note: I stayed very calm through the rest of Christmas Eve.
My wife did untie me on Christmas morning, tho.)

You are right ,your not going to like the answer to that.First I would take it to a professional detailer or a body shop and see if they can buff out the worse scratch .If not then start getting quotes to repaint.Im not sure if 86 had clear or not.

Thanks, paintdaddy.........Yeh, the previous owner had it repainted and clear coated a few years before I bought it. The paint is about 3 years old.
