It will be interesting to see how "Stewart/HAAS CNC" fares.
Tony wants to try being a car owner and I'm sure driving a Toyota just pissed him off no end. No doubt, when he and Chevrolet began talking...with the wheels greased by Tony's deal with Chevrolet in dirt track racing...this seemed like a match made in heaven.
But, since GM announcement earlier this week about its continuing fiscal trauma and actions it will take with regards to that, my guess is GM Racing's NASCAR budget is in for some big cuts.
Will Chevrolet fund Hendrick Motorsports, Richard Childress Racing, Dale Earnhardt Inc and Stewart/Haas CNC to the level everyone thought when Tony began to seriously think about leaving JGR?
Something to think about.
In the meantime, JGR is well-positioned to bring Toyota a Spring Cup in its second year in the sport.
Sheesh.
