As most of you know my brother (vettefan87) had his engine rebuilt because of a bad head gasket. Well he went to california with my mom for a week. He has 50 miles on the motor. Should i just let the car sit till he gets back, or should i drive it. I could put a few miles on it each day. I understand the break in period, and would never do anything to hurt the car. Is it better to drive it during this stage or let it sit?

Thanks again
craig

P.S. I would have never asked but i found the keys so i just thought i could help him out a little.

Just a thought. How would you like it if somebody drove your pride and joy while you were out of town. As for myself I would have a murder charge facing me!!!!

Not On Your Life

You and he get along right? Wanna keep it that way right? Enough said right?:nono
Just my $.02 and it's really none of my business but you asked. I can't count how many times, it's the "one" ride that destiny finds a way to ruin, and more than just metal or fiberglass.

I talked to him today and he told me he wants me to drive it about 20 miles per day. i would never take it without asking. So i guess i will baby it around a bit. I guess he figures he owes me since i let him take my Trans Am out for a ride or two.

With permission is whole different story. Just remember, it in the break in period, vary your RPM's and no high revs.;)

Yes, take it easy Craig or I will have to hurt you.:L

Oh and I looked at the forcast and dont think about driving it in the rain.

I know all too well about the forecast. In order to keep it out of the rain, i drove three times as much the day it was sunny. Well anyways it is in good hands, and it drove great. Be assured i babied it like my own.

See you when you get home.

You CAN'T be serious.

Is it YOURS? Then leave it 'TH' ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And DON'T ask US..... ask your brother.... I think you KNOW already what he will say.
So don't do something you KNOW you shouldn't do then blame it on US!!!!!!!!!

Geeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
