Jerry,
I looked thru 3 books I have and the only one that mentions anything is my 68 Chassis Svc Manual which covers Rochesters and Holley carbs. It says install carb over mounting studs and secure tightly..........no mention of torque nor anything in the torque charts.........good luck.

I have also searched my books with no success. However, one should ensure that the tightening of the mounting studs/nuts is done evenly. Run all down until they make contact with carburator base. Then snug each mounting point a 1/4 turn each in an "X" pattern (the left-front, the right-rear, the right-front, and then the left-rear). Don't forget using a new gasket for the carburator base.

Thanks guys, John that seems very light I always afraid of a vaccume leak, do you use permatex on the gasket to prevent leaks?

Thanks

Jerry

I've always put them on dry. If remember correctly, I think that the base gasket may be a one time torque item? Not very sure. Someone chime in on that one.

Check this link out for torque specs. I Know its Buick but I'm sure its close.
