If i put a crows foot on a torque wrench, is the torque setting on the wrench true or does it need to be modified for the slight ofset of the crows foot? thanks in advance Jim

Yup, needs to be modified due to the additional leverage effect applied by the offset; a torque wrench only reads accurately with a socket directly in line with the wrench head fitting.
