towing the vette 80 miles

just wanted to know if i could use a tow dolly for an 80 mile trip, it has a 4 speed, has anyone used a tow dolly for there vette
 
Spring for the extra 20 bucks and get a trailer and get it off the ground. You'll be glad you did........
 
Totally off-topic: nice engine compartment. That bracket with the MSD on it - what is it bolted to? I need to put a bracket in about the same place, to hold my electric fan relay box, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to hold the bracket to the car.

it is riveted to the fender, i used rivits becauce they would sit nearly flush, so there would be no interferece with the hood closing, plus there hardly noticibly, i bent the aluminum to conform with the fender..

When I moved from Maine to Kentucky I researched trailers vs dolly from U-haul, Penske, and Ryder. In all cases the dolly was NOT recommended for use with a corvette. I did as cruzer suggested and rented a car trailer.
