Ok i know alot of you have done the tpi swap and now something i thoguht would be simple, isnt....... off of the fuel rail, there is the feed and return line, what size are those fittings? i dont really want used stock lines as im using braided line...... NOT AN lines though, so the accel fittings wont work for me........ what have you guys used for these wierd fittings? its not metric, not flared, not standard..... as far as ive used......... soem fit, but not snug like they should be......... HELP!!!!!
Thanks
Tony

I suggest you remove the stock nipples from the fuel rails. Go to the hardware store and get a brass multi barbed 3/8" fitting. Get the propper tap, and tap out the rail to mount the NPT style fitting right in the aluminum rail housing. This is more or less what Edelbrock is doing on the Pro Flo that I have on my 69. From there you run your braided high pressure fuel line back to the filter and pump.

Otherwise, all you need to do is contact Street and Performance for a fuel line kit. They are pricey, but they can put you right in there right now without any mods to the rail.

when i have some spare time when its not 20 degrees........ and when the !@#$ powdercoaters get me my plenum, runners, and other parts........... its also kinda hard to paint in cold weather, paint doesnt really wanna stick........ Soon though, promise.....

witchita

can't wait to see it when it's done, I have a tpi system sitting on my shelf waiting to go on our vette but lately I haven't had time for the car, of course our's wont be for performance, will just probably be the stock 350 but who knows.

wichita,i hear ya,i have another set of runners i want to put on,but its been freezing out and they have me working overtime like crazy because of all the snow.

Ok guys, myabe a tad longer now......... decided to get a new tranny......... another 700r4, this time built up....... stage 2 kit all the way, new servos, bands, full bit....... not bad for 650 delivered........ anyways, it should be deliverd my mid NEXT week =(((( so morrrrrrreeeeeeee time........ damn me and my spending habits......... ya so ill try to post some "working" pics of the parts as they are later in the week..........

Wichy-

I use aluminum fuel line from Aeroquip, socketless hose and -6AN fittings all around.

I took my dremel and grinder to the TPI fuel rail and removed the factory lines and inlet so I could run AN fittings. That was one of the better ideas that I have seen and used.
