Trans Question

I just pulled the engine out of my 1980 c3 to have it rebuilt. The engine bay had a fire witch now has me redoing most of the front end.

Should I do anything with the trans while I'm already into the car? We had no problem with the trans before the fire but the car has set for over a year in my shop. I plan to flush the trans at the least if I don't do anything else.

Sorry to hear about the fire...hope it wasn't seriously damaged..:ugh:ugh
If it has a lot of miles on it eg more than 50,000,
I would rebuild it.

Once I had the tranny out of the car, I was able to have it overhauled for a very reasonable price- around $700. Might be a smart investment at this point.
