Transducer

i replaced the upper and lower speedo cables and got a new transducer , it has a upper andlower cable connections, the lower connection on the transducer where the lower cable goes into doesn't seem like there is anything there.... is the bottom cable suppose to have an extension or is the transducer bad?

please help..

replaced the lower cable again, the chev. parts guy sold me the wrong one, now have the right one on, now the speedometer is jumpy, how or what is my problem and how do i solve this?
