I wrapped it up about 11:30pm tonight. While still jacked up I went through all the gears just fine. But I need a new ujoint for the main drive shaft. One of the ends came loose and I could see the little needle bearings they spin on. And after that I could never get it to seat right. So I had a feeling it was not going to spin concentric and makes a creeking noise every revolution. But thats a minor detail/easy to fix. That is a gigantic job and I don't want to have to do it again anytime soon. Salute:beer

great glad ya got her done . i should have told ya to do the u joints and ck the yoke sorry i forgiot . but have been very busy practicing , working and getting the 11 young men who built my mustang started in their own custom car shop . lets hope the old gal will give you many miles of trouble free driving . doing tranny jobs make one wish they had a lift .as ones back gets sore :D

Congratulations on getting this job done! :beer

Did you figure out how many hours you have into it?

I would advise you to have both u-joints on the driveshaft installed at this time.

SAVE THE :w

Better check all the U-joints, if the driveshaft joints are bad the axle joints may be bad as well.

Glad you got-er-dun. Now it's time to enjoy her.
