Transmission issue!?!

Have a 2009 corvette z51 auto. When in sport mode, from 2nd to 3rd gear it
bangs/hits really hard. During paddle shifting as well. In drive mode, no issues.
Any ideas why?

Given the transmission is operating properly, it's likely the trans calibration commands more aggressive shifts when in Sport mode.
