Transmission lines routing?

Anbother saga to my puzzle im putting together that some tore apart. I was wondering if the trans lines going to the radiator go on top of the frame crossmember or under it between the crossmember and the a arm. The reason im asking is mine were on top of the crossmember (its a 72 350 auto) and I looked at a guys 77 350 auto and his go under the crossmember just above the a arm. which is right for my 72?

between the crossmember and the lower control arm. Unless someone pulled it out, you'll see a clip there which is intended to hold the lines in place.
