Well, I may be only the second person to go into my 1980's tranny.
:ugh

Yeeesh. The fluid was horribly dirty. It was practically poison, so I need to put a few Mr. Yuck stickers on the waste fluid in the milk jugs it resides in now...

Anyways, the car runs better (yeah, who saw that one coming). I still need to tweak the shifting a wee bit. I also think I need to to adjust the accelerator pedal and linkage. I don't think I'm getting WOT when the pedal is down. Residual Carb to TPI issues I guess. I'll also need to check the vacuum modulator again so that I can maximize the mid throttle shifts.

Details, details, details....

While I was under the car, I noticed some repairs to the car at some point in time. I knew the '80 had been repaired along the driver's side rear fender, but it appears to have been repaired just forward of the rear wheel along the rocker. Oh well. I think I'm just a perfectionist and it is a sickness that will claim the best of me (if not all of me) at some point.
